What is the Thailand Online Study Expo?
The Thailand Online Study Expo is a free virtual university fair held from 28 to 31 October 2027 as part of the World Study Expo online programme. Students in Thailand can join live sessions and book one-to-one video meetings with international admissions representatives.
Thailand has a growing international-school sector concentrated in Bangkok and a much larger Thai-medium system across the rest of the country. The result is a market where English proficiency varies more than in most of Southeast Asia, and where the availability of a credible language pathway often decides whether a student can consider overseas study at all.
The country's economic profile also shapes subject demand. Hospitality, tourism and service management carry weight here that they do not carry in Singapore or India, and institutions strong in those fields find a receptive audience.

Raise language first
If your English is still developing, open with it rather than leaving it to the end. It determines which routes are open to you, and most institutions have a pathway they will not mention unless asked.
Ask about placement, not just teaching
For hospitality, tourism and culinary programmes, the industry placement matters more than the curriculum. Ask where students are placed and for how long.

Almost all in-person recruitment in Thailand happens in Bangkok. An online edition reaches the rest of the country at no marginal cost, and provincial engagement is often strong precisely because it is rare.

Is the Thailand Online Study Expo free?
Yes. Registration and attendance are free for students and parents across Thailand.
When does it take place?
Thursday 28 to Sunday 31 October 2027. Thursday and Friday from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM, and Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Thailand local time.
My English is not yet strong enough. Can I still attend?
Yes, and you should. Ask institutions about pre-sessional English, foundation years and conditional offers. Many students begin exactly where you are.
What English score will I need?
It varies by country, institution and course. Ask each university what they require, what routes exist if you fall short, and how long a pathway programme would add.
I want to study hospitality management. Which destinations are strongest?
Switzerland, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and Australia all have well-regarded hospitality provision. Ask about industry placement, which matters more than ranking in this field.
I study a Thai curriculum, not an international one. Am I eligible?
In most cases yes, sometimes via a foundation year. Ask each institution how they assess Thai qualifications and what additional steps are needed.
I live outside Bangkok. Is this useful to me?
Particularly so. The online format gives students in Chiang Mai, Phuket, Khon Kaen and the provinces exactly the same access as students in the capital.
Can my parents join?
Yes. Cost, safety and accommodation questions are usually best raised directly by parents.
