South India
Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Trivandrum, Coimbatore, Vizag, Hubli, Mangalore and Mysore, online.
14–17 October 2027

Two full weeks, twenty major student markets, one free registration. India is the largest part of the World Study Expo online programme, and it is split in two because the country is not one recruitment market.
Through the India Online Study Expo, a free virtual university fair running across two weeks of the World Study Expo online programme. Students register free, browse university profiles, and book one-to-one video meetings with admissions representatives. South India runs 14–17 October 2027 and North, West and East India runs 21–24 October 2027.
India is split across two weeks for a reason that matters commercially. The southern states generate a heavily postgraduate flow, concentrated in computing and engineering, with a distinct healthcare pipeline out of Kerala. The northern, western and eastern markets skew far more undergraduate, with a strong Canada and Australia orientation in the Punjab belt and a commercial emphasis in Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Surat.
Running them as one event would mean serving both badly. Running them separately lets each week be scheduled, promoted and staffed for the students actually attending it.

Students can attend either or both. One free registration covers everything.

Indian postgraduate applicants are typically self-funding through education loans, are comparing specific departments, and are heavily influenced by graduate employment outcomes and post-study work rights. Undergraduate applicants are younger, parent-guided, and need clarity on entry requirements against CBSE, ICSE, state boards and increasingly the IB.
Across both weeks, the questions that decide shortlists are about work rights, visa duration and employability rather than league tables alone. Countries that allow graduates to work for a meaningful period consistently outperform those that do not, and students track policy changes closely.
In-person recruitment concentrates on a handful of cities. Twenty cities across two online weeks reaches a qualified applicant pool that is largely invisible to institutions relying on travel alone.
When a family is borrowing against property to fund a degree, the questions get precise. Accurate total cost figures, realistic scholarship information and honest employment data matter more than marketing.

Because the markets differ. South India generates predominantly postgraduate demand in computing and engineering plus a healthcare pipeline from Kerala, while the northern, western and eastern markets are more undergraduate-weighted with different destination preferences.

India rewards scale and punishes generic messaging. The two-week structure lets institutions recruit undergraduate and postgraduate audiences with different material, in different weeks, without doubling the travel budget, because there is no travel budget.
