What is an online university fair and how does it work?
An online university fair lets students meet university admissions representatives by video rather than travelling to an exhibition. At World Study Expo, students register free, build a profile, browse university profiles and programmes, shortlist institutions, and book one-to-one video meetings during the event window. Live group presentations run alongside the individual appointments.
The online programme is not a downgraded version of the physical one. It does something the physical events structurally cannot: it reaches students in cities that no recruitment trip covers. Salalah, Hubli, Medan, Jaffna and the outer atolls of the Maldives are all in scope at no extra cost.
Structuring it by region rather than running one global event keeps the time zones workable and the audiences coherent. Each week is scheduled in the local time of the market it serves.

What your profile can include
Country, city, school, curriculum, current grade, graduation year, intended intake, study level (bachelor, master or MBA), preferred programme, preferred destination, academic information, English test status, scholarship interest, budget range and whether a parent will join. You choose what to share.
Recruitment without the travel budget
The online programme gives institutions market-by-market targeting: one country, a full regional week, or all four weeks. Student profiles indicate subject, level and intended intake, so appointments are with people who are actually in-market.
Engagement signals available after each edition include profile views, course views, brochure downloads, wishlist additions, appointments booked, appointments completed and information requests. What this does not do is guarantee that appointments convert to applications, and any platform promising that is not being straight with you.

How is the World Study Expo online programme structured?
It runs as four regional weeks in October 2027: Middle East 7–10 October, South India 14–17 October, North, West and East India 21–24 October, and South and Southeast Asia 28–31 October. Each runs Thursday to Sunday.
What times do sessions run?
Thursday and Friday from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM, and Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, scheduled in the local time of the market each edition serves.
Is it free for students?
Yes. Registration and attendance are free for students and parents in every region.
Do I need special software?
No. Everything runs in your web browser. A camera and microphone improve one-to-one meetings but are not required for group sessions.
Can I attend more than one regional week?
Yes. One free registration covers all four online weeks and the UAE physical exhibitions.
How do I book a meeting with a university?

What if my internet connection is poor?
A stable connection matters more than a fast one, and you can join audio-only if video is not practical. Session recordings are made available where the institution permits it.
Can universities choose which regions to join?
Yes. Institutions can select individual countries, a full regional week, or the entire online programme, and can combine it with the UAE physical exhibitions.
