What is the Oman Online Study Expo?
The Oman Online Study Expo is a free virtual university fair held from 7 to 10 October 2027 as part of the World Study Expo online programme. Students across Oman can join live university sessions and book one-to-one video meetings with admissions representatives, from home.
Oman is a young country with a geography that makes physical recruitment difficult. The population is distributed along a long coastline and into the interior, and a fair held in Muscat is simply out of reach for a family in Salalah. Online delivery removes that problem entirely.
It is also a market where cost is a genuine constraint for many families, and where government scholarship provision plays a significant part in who studies abroad and where. Institutions that engage seriously with funding, rather than treating it as a closing detail, are the ones students remember.

Distance is the defining practical barrier
Salalah is more than a thousand kilometres from Muscat. For families outside the capital region, attending any in-person recruitment event means a flight or a very long drive. This is the clearest case in the region for online delivery, and engagement from outside Muscat is correspondingly strong.

I live in Salalah. Can I take part properly?
Yes, and this is exactly why the edition is online. Students in Salalah, Sohar, Nizwa and Sur have the same access as students in Muscat, with no travel involved.
Which universities can help with scholarships?
Ask each institution directly which specific awards you would qualify for, what they cover and when they close. Institutions with strong funding provision are encouraged to be explicit about it during the sessions.
Should I consider studying in India or Malaysia?
