World Study Expo Sharjah 2027 takes place on Thursday 23 September 2027, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Entry is free for students and parents, and the venue will be announced before the event.
Sharjah is the value conversation, and that is a compliment rather than a qualification. Families here tend to be rigorous. Sharjah delivers a serious, well-prepared audience that converts when the value case is sound. For institutions with real scholarship provision, competitive tuition, strong placement programmes or generous post-study work rights, this is frequently the most productive of the three UAE days.
It is the wrong event for an institution whose entire proposition is prestige at a premium price. Families here will ask what the premium buys, and a persuasive answer has to be concrete.
Falling on the Thursday, Sharjah sits between Abu Dhabi and the Dubai weekend, so all three can be covered in a single visit to the UAE.

Will universities actually discuss scholarships, or just mention them?

It is arguably more relevant. Comparing a local degree against an overseas one is the central question in Sharjah, and speaking to international admissions staff directly is the fastest way to make that comparison properly.
Which destinations are realistic on a limited budget?
Germany, Malaysia, parts of Eastern Europe and India are all worth examining, and several offer English-taught degrees at markedly lower tuition than the UK, USA or Australia. Exhibitors from these destinations attend.
How should I compare universities on cost?
Compare total cost, not tuition. Add tuition, living costs and travel, multiply by the length of the degree, then subtract any guaranteed scholarship. That is the only number that compares fairly across countries.
Are part-time or evening postgraduate options available?
Yes. Several institutions offer part-time, evening and distance postgraduate study aimed at working professionals, which is a significant part of the Sharjah audience.
