What is the UAE Online Study Expo?

The UAE Online Study Expo is a free virtual university fair held from 7 to 10 October 2027 as part of the World Study Expo online programme. Students across every emirate can join live sessions and book one-to-one video meetings with university admissions representatives, without travelling to Dubai, Abu Dhabi or Sharjah.

Three physical exhibitions cannot cover seven emirates. A family in Fujairah or Ras Al Khaimah faces a long drive to reach any of them, and a student in the middle of exams in September may simply be unavailable. The online edition exists for both.

It also serves a second purpose that is easy to overlook. Students who attended in September often need a follow-up conversation once they have narrowed a shortlist and have sharper questions about entry requirements, funding or a specific programme. The online week is where that second conversation happens, with the same institutions, without anyone travelling.

Students interested in studying in the UK, the USA, Canada, Australia or continental Europe can discuss those destinations with participating universities during the UAE online edition on 7–10 October 2027, and compare them against staying in the UAE at an international branch campus. Which institutions take part is published on this page as they confirm.

Families in the northern emirates and Al Ain often weigh the same shortlist as families in Dubai but with a stronger case for a destination with a large existing UAE student community. What can I ask universities about admissions during the UAE online edition?

In a booked video appointment you can ask exactly what an admissions representative would tell you at a stand: the grades they expect from your curriculum, whether they require an English test and which ones they accept, when the intake starts, what documents the application needs, and which scholarships you could realistically be considered for.

Sort out fee status

For institutions that exhibited in September, the online week is the natural follow-up: the students you met are now further along, and a scheduled video meeting converts far better than an email chain.

For institutions that did not travel, it is a low-commitment route into a market that is otherwise expensive to reach, and a sensible way to test demand before booking a physical stand the following year.

Is the UAE Online Study Expo free for students?

Yes. Registration and attendance are free for students and parents anywhere in the UAE.

How is this different from the physical exhibitions in September?

The physical exhibitions are face-to-face events in Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Dubai. The online edition is a virtual fair you join from home, which means students in every emirate can take part without travelling.

I attended the Dubai exhibition. Should I join the online edition too?

Many students do. By the online week you will have a shorter shortlist and sharper questions, and a booked video meeting is a better use of an admissions officer's time than an email.

What times do the sessions run?

Thursday and Friday from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM, and Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, in UAE local time.

Do I need special software?

No. Meetings run in your browser. You need a stable internet connection and, ideally, a camera and microphone.

Can my parents join the meeting with me?

Yes, and we encourage it. Funding and accommodation questions are usually settled faster with a parent present.

Will the same universities attend as the physical events?

Some will and some will not. Institutions choose which editions to join, and the confirmed list is published here as it is finalised.

I live outside the UAE but plan to apply from here. Can I attend?

Yes. Anyone can register, and you may also want to look at the edition covering the country you are currently in.
