Privacy policy

Last updated: this policy is a working draft and must be reviewed by legal counsel before the site goes live. It is written to describe the intended practice of World Study Expo, operated by Golden Tree Events LLC, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Information we collect

• Student registration: name, email, mobile number, country, city, school or university, current qualification, curriculum, graduation year, intended intake, preferred study level, subjects and destinations.
• Optional profile information: academic details, English test status, scholarship interest, budget range and whether a parent will attend. These fields are optional and you decide whether to complete them.
• Exhibitor enquiries: institution name, country, website, contact name, designation, email, telephone and markets of interest.
• Event activity: which university profiles you viewed, brochures you downloaded, institutions you added to a wishlist, enquiries you sent and appointments you booked or attended.
• Website analytics: aggregated, non-identifying usage data.

Why we collect it

• To register you for the events you selected and to send you the schedule and joining details.
• To let you book appointments and to give the university you booked with enough context to have a useful conversation.
• To pass your enquiry to an institution when you choose to send one.
• To operate and improve the platform.

What universities see

Exhibiting institutions see your profile information only where you have chosen to share it with them, specifically by booking an appointment with them, sending them an enquiry, downloading their brochure or adding them to your wishlist. Registering for the event does not make your details visible to every exhibitor.

Who else we share it with

Our hosting, email and video-meeting providers, each only to the extent required to deliver the service. We do not sell personal data.

How long we keep it

Registration and profile data for two years after the event edition you registered for, unless you ask us to delete it sooner. Aggregated analytics are retained without identifying information.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, or withdraw consent, at any time by emailing info@studyexpo.io. Depending on where you live, you may have rights under UAE, Saudi, Indian or other data protection legislation, and we will honour the standard most protective of you.

Students under 18

Many of our attendees are school students. If you are under 18, please register with a parent or guardian's knowledge. Parents can request access to or deletion of a child's data at the address above.

Photography and recording

Physical exhibitions are photographed and filmed in public areas. Tell staff at the information desk if you prefer not to appear and we will not use images that identify you. One-to-one appointments are not recorded. Group online sessions may be recorded where the institution permits, and this is stated before the session starts.
